TB Vets 2023 Crash Carts Campaign

Heart attack, a sudden inability to breathe - these incidents are called "Code Blue" in a hospital. A warning to staff that a patient is in life-threatening distress and we don't have a minute to lose. Each and every second is a matter of life or death.

A code blue emergency can happen at any time, day or night. And how we respond to them is a matter of life and death.

Crash carts are wheeled carts that store vital life-saving tools. They store all the medications and equipment that help caregivers restore the airways of patients as they're struggling to breathe or to restart a heart.

For every $5,000 the Foundation received towards our most urgent needs fund, TB Vets matched these funds to purchase 1 crash cart.

With the incredible generosity of donors, we can purchase 11 carts, which will be parked at key spots across Langley Memorial Hospital in easy reach of staff in an emergency.

Kandys Merola, CEO of TB Vets says: "TB Vets is proud to partner with Langley Memorial Hospital in helping fund vitally needed crash carts. We know the importance of this equipment in helping countless families to have the best possible outcome and allowing families to welcome their loved ones back to health."

Thank you to TB Vets for their support, and to our community for continuing to supply our hospital with life-saving equipment.
